Second method: for women with irregular and regular periods

A normal menstrual cycle is 28 days, and 30 days is a very regular cycle. For women whose menstrual cycle is abnormal but whose cycle is accurate, they can find out their ovulation time with following calculations. Since luteal phase is a fixed 14 days, you can subtract 14 days from menstrual cycle and then count from first day of menstrual cycle as day of ovulation.

Third method: for women with abnormal periods and irregular cycles

For women with abnormal periods and irregular cycles, ovulation cycle calculation is inaccurate and only other assistive methods can be used to measure ovulation time. For example, commonly used methods for measuring ovulation include b-ultrasound detection, ovulation test strip detection, and so on. Usually, if you want to get pregnant quickly, you can use ovulation test strips and a b-ultrasound at same time so that you can quickly determine time of ovulation.

It actually has something to do with survival time of egg and time it takes sperm to reach fallopian tube. After egg is released, it can usually survive for 1-2 days, and time of greatest fertilization is only 12 hours. Over time, fertilization of egg will become lower and lower.

After isolation, spermatozoa can be stored for 2-3 days. For sperm to reach fallopian tube and meet egg, it may take several hours for shortest and 1-2 days for longest. So let sperm run ahead of time, so pregnancy rate will be higher if you have intercourse day before day of ovulation.
